The unit is rated for continuous, full load, industrial operation without any reduction in output power. Design: The rectifier is designed as a tough, modular plug-in unit in a metal casing. Connections for AC power and control are realised via terminal bars mounted in the front of the module. DC output is via solid copper bars, also mounted in the front. Advanced cooling and protection circuit: The impact of the plating line's corrosive atmosphere is considerably reduced by two of this rectifier's special features, extending the unit's life expectancy. Firstly, the cooling air flow is guided along the heat-sink, keeping it and any foreign bodies (especially dust) separate from the power components. Secondly, the risk of contamination being introduced by the cooling air is further reduced by the integrated air flow control system which calculates and supplies the exact amount of air needed to keep the rectifier at its optimum temperature.
